Clipzing.com for AI agents
Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code and any assistant that speaks MCP.
Clipzing.com is an AI clip generator that an AI assistant can operate. Connect your account to Claude or ChatGPT and ask in plain language: which clips to post, new titles for a batch, B-roll on one clip, a week of Shorts scheduled. The assistant uses 32 actions on your clip library and asks your approval before anything that publishes, deletes or uses your monthly allowance.
Pick your assistant
Clipzing with Claude
Connect Clipzing to Claude and ask it to find, review, retitle, restyle and schedule your video clips. Works in claude.ai and the Claude desktop app.
Clipzing with ChatGPT
Connect Clipzing to ChatGPT and ask it to review, retitle, restyle and schedule your video clips, or to turn a YouTube video into clips, from a chat.
Clipzing with Cursor
Add Clipzing to Cursor as an MCP server and manage your video clips from the editor: review, retitle, restyle and schedule without leaving your work.
Clipzing with Claude Code
Add Clipzing to Claude Code with one command and run your clip library from the terminal: batch retitles, reviews and scheduling as scripted tasks.
Using something else? Windsurf, Zed and Cline are covered in the setup guide, with the exact menu and file for each.
How it connects
- In a browser (claude.ai, ChatGPT): add the connector address
https://clipzing.com/api/v1/mcp, sign in to Clipzing and choose what the assistant may do. - On your computer (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor): a small program runs locally and pairs with your account through a browser approval.
- No API key to copy. Nothing secret is pasted into a settings file.
The setup guide takes about two minutes.
What an assistant is allowed to do
You grant permissions separately when you connect, and can grant only some of them. The connector is on every plan. On Starter an assistant can read and edit; rendering and publishing through an assistant need Creator or Agency.
- Read (19 actions)
- Looks at your library and at public YouTube. Changes nothing and costs nothing.
- Edit (5 actions)
- Changes words attached to a clip: titles, descriptions, hashtags, saved preferences. Reversible, no render.
- Render (5 actions)
- Re-renders a clip or starts a new job, which uses your plan’s monthly allowance.
- Publish (3 actions)
- Sends a clip out to a connected social account.
5 actions always stop for your approval, whatever was granted: delete clip, batch set caption style, create clips from a video, schedule post, publish now. The assistant is shown a summary of what will happen and has to bring it to you; it cannot approve on your behalf. See every action and its permission.
Things to ask
Have an AI Review Your Clips Before You Post
A ranked list of your recent clips with a short editor’s note on each: what works, what to fix, and which to post first.
Retitle a Batch of Clips in One Consistent Style
Every clip from a video titled in the same voice and length, in a couple of minutes.
Schedule a Week of YouTube Shorts From a Chat
Your strongest clips placed on the calendar for the coming week, one per day.
Turn a YouTube Video Into Clips Without Leaving Chat
A new set of vertical clips from a long video, started from a sentence.
What it does not do
- It does not post to TikTok for you. TikTok clips are sent as drafts, and cannot be scheduled. Scheduling is for YouTube.
- It does not work on files on your computer. It works on the clips in your Clipzing library and on public YouTube videos.
- It does not replace the editor for frame-level work such as moving a cut.
Connect your assistant
About two minutes, no API key. You choose what it is allowed to do.
