Use Clipzing With ChatGPT: Run Your Clips From Chat
Connects through a hosted address · sign in to approve · no API key
ChatGPT can operate your Clipzing account through the Clipzing connector. Ask it to find a clip, tell you what is weak about it, rewrite titles and descriptions, or schedule posts, and it does the work in your library. Anything that publishes or uses your monthly allowance is shown to you for approval first.
What to ask ChatGPT
- List my clips from this week and rank them by score.
- Critique my newest clip like an editor. What would you change?
- Write new descriptions and hashtags for my three latest clips.
- Find a recent video from my channel and turn it into clips.
- What is scheduled to post this week? Cancel anything on Friday.
How to connect
In ChatGPT on the web, turn on developer mode in settings and add Clipzing by its connector address, choosing OAuth when asked how to sign in. You then sign in to Clipzing and choose what ChatGPT may do.
- ChatGPT (browser)
- Settings → Security and login → turn on Developer mode, then Plugins → + → add the URL, then paste https://clipzing.com/api/v1/mcp
- ChatGPT (desktop app)
- Settings → MCP servers → Add server → choose STDIO → Save → Restart
The setup guide walks through every step, with the checks to run if it does not appear.
What to know before you start
- ChatGPT acts only within the permissions you approve when connecting. On the Starter plan an assistant can read and edit; render and publish need Creator or Agency.
- Creating a job, publishing, scheduling, a batch restyle and deleting each require your approval of a summary.
- Posts go to YouTube. TikTok receives drafts, and cannot be scheduled.
