Frequently asked questions
What data does the analyzer actually use?
Three real sources per clip: public stats from the YouTube Data API (views, likes, comments, duration, publish date), the clip’s own caption transcript, and its top-liked comments. The analysis compares every clip against the channel’s real median views, so verdicts like "2.4× median" are measured, not guessed.
How are the expected view ranges calculated?
Each suggested video gets an estimated multiplier range based on how similar patterns performed on your own channel, and we multiply that by your channel’s actual median views. A channel with a 40K median gets 30K–100K brackets, not fantasy millions. It’s an estimate anchored to your real reach — treat it as a planning range, not a promise.
Can I analyze a competitor’s channel?
Yes — it only reads public data, so competitor analysis is fair game and honestly one of the best uses: run your three closest competitors and steal the patterns, not the videos.
Why do some clips say "no captions"?
The transcript comes from YouTube’s own caption tracks. Clips whose uploader disabled captions (and that YouTube hasn’t auto-captioned) get judged from stats and comments only, which the analysis flags honestly.
How many analyses do I get?
Limits work like Claude’s: a per-session allowance (rolling 4 hours), a weekly one, and a monthly one — so a month never disappears in one sitting. Free: 3 per session, 12 per week, 30 per month. Paid plans scale up to 30/session and 500/month on Agency. Re-opening a cached analysis is always free.
